The Gathering of the Community
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,
and the love of God,
and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit,
be with you all.
And also with you.

Almighty God,
to you all hearts are open, all desires known, and from you no secrets are hidden. Cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of your Holy Spirit, that we may perfectly love you, and worthily magnify your holy name; through Christ our Lord. Amen.

631 The Kingdom of God is Justice and Joy

The Collect of the Day
Let us pray.
Grant us, O God, the courage to choose Jesus’ way even at great cost, bearing our cross and releasing our possessions, for the liberation and healing of your world; through Jesus Christ the Wisdom of Creation, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, now and for ever. Amen.

The Proclamation of the Word
Reading: Hebrews 13:1-8, 15-16
A Reading From The Letter To The Hebrews
Let mutual love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have entertained angels without knowing it. Remember those who are in prison, as though you were in prison with them; those who are being tortured, as though you yourselves were being tortured. Let marriage be held in honour by all, and let the marriage bed be kept undefiled; for God will judge fornicators and adulterers. Keep your lives free from the love of money, and be content with what you have; for he has said, "I will never leave you or forsake you." So we can say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can anyone do to me?" Remember your leaders, those who spoke the word of God to you; consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Through him, then, let us continually offer a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that confess his name. Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.
For the Word of God in scripture, among us and with us.
Thanks be to God.

Psalm 81:1, 10-16
Sing with joy to God our strength and raise a loud shout to the God of Jacob. I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt and said, "Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it."
Sing with joy to God our strength.
And yet my people did not hear my voice, and Israel would not obey me. So I gave them over to the stubbornness of their hearts, to follow their own devices.
Sing with joy to God our strength.
Oh, that my people would listen to me! that Israel would walk in my ways! I should soon subdue their enemies and turn my hand against their foes.
Sing with joy to God our strength.
Those who hate the Lord would cringe before him, and their punishment would last for ever. But Israel would I feed with the finest wheat and satisfy him with honey from the rock.
Sing with joy to God our strength.

585 Lord, Whose Love in Humble Service

The Gospel: Luke 14:1, 7-14
The Lord be with you.
And also with you.
The Holy Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ
according to Luke.
Glory to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
On one occasion when Jesus was going to the house of a leader of the Pharisees to eat a meal on the sabbath, they were watching him closely. When he noticed how the guests chose the places of honour, he told them a parable. "When you are invited by someone to a wedding banquet, do not sit down at the place of honour, in case someone more distinguished than you has been invited by your host; and the host who invited both of you may come and say to you, 'Give this person your place,' and then in disgrace you would start to take the lowest place. But when you are invited, go and sit down at the lowest place, so that when your host comes, he may say to you, 'Friend, move up higher'; then you will be honoured in the presence of all who sit at the table with you. For all who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted." He said also to the one who had invited him, "When you give a luncheon or a dinner, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbours, in case they may invite you in return, and you would be repaid. But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind. And you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you, for you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous."
The Gospel of Christ.
Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.

Sermon

An Affirmation of Faith (Colossians 3.10-16)
We affirm our faith in a compassionate God,
We clothe ourselves with the new self, according to the image of God our creator. We clothe ourselves without distinction of race, Creed or colour, we are one humanity; but Christ is all and in all! We clothe ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience.

We clothe ourselves with forgiveness; just as the Lord has forgiven us, so we also will forgive. We clothe ourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. We clothe ourselves with the peace of Christ in our hearts. We clothe ourselves with gratitude for all wisdom and praise. Amen.

The Prayers of the People
God of all hopefulness, we bring before you our concerns for the world and all the people, saying, “hear our prayer.”

We pray for parents around the world who reach out in hope for their children. We pray for justice: when they struggle to provide food for their families; when they cannot find a place to make a home for their children. God of love,
Hear our prayer.
We pray for those who find themselves on the margins of society. We pray for justice: that they might confront centres of power with the experience of life on the margins; that they might be allowed to contribute to the welfare of society; that we may all be enriched by the insights and wisdom they bring to our communities. God of love,
Hear our prayer.
We pray for our common home and all who seek to ensure its wellbeing. We pray for justice: that all nations of the world will work together for the common good of each person and our planet; that conservation will enable habitats to flourish while meeting the needs of local communities; that we each understand the impact we have upon the earth and adjust our lifestyle accordingly. God of love,
Hear our prayer.
We pray for ourselves, disturb us and disquiet us with a passion for justice. Challenge us to grasp a vision of your new world and motivate us to act to birth it into being. Enable us to encourage the gift of hope, so others are empowered to continue the journey of faith. God of love,
Hear our prayer.
We pray for all schools, colleges, and universities, that they may be lively centres for sound learning, new discovery, and the pursuit of wisdom; and grant that those who teach and those who learn, and all support staff may find you to be the source of all truth. God of love,
Hear our prayer.
We pray for your guidance in all our labours: We pray for all who labour and for all who employ, and for fairness, safety and justice in the economy of our world. God of love,
Hear our prayer.
We pray for all who are sick or in any need, remembering especially those we know who are ill at home or in the hospital,
-
… and others we may name out loud or in our hearts…
-
…that they may know your presence and healing power. God of love,
Hear our prayer.
We pray for all who have died in the peace of Christ and whose faith is known to you alone, especially…
-
And for those who mourn. God of love,
Hear our prayer.
God, Creator of our common home, your boundless love includes everyone. Open our hearts and minds to your generous will that we may proclaim Christ’s love and justice through words and actions. May we serve the needs of our neighbours within the community of all Creation and may justice flow down like rivers. In Christ’s name. Amen.

Confession and Absolution
Dear friends in Christ, God is steadfast in love and infinite in mercy; he welcomes sinners and invites them to his table. Let us confess our sins, confident in God’s forgiveness.

Most merciful God,
we confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done, and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbours as ourselves. We are truly sorry and we humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on us and forgive us, that we may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your name. Amen.

Almighty God have mercy upon you, pardon and deliver you from all your sins, confirm and strengthen you in all goodness, and keep you in eternal life; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

The Peace
The peace of the Lord be always with you.
And also with you.

The Prayer over the Gifts
Let us pray,
God of glory, receive all we offer this day as a symbol of our love, and increase in us that true and perfect gift. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

The Great Thanksgiving – Eucharistic Prayer 4
The Lord be with you.
And also with you.
Lift up your hearts.
We lift them to the Lord.
Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
It is right to give our thanks and praise.

It is right to give you thanks and praise, O Lord, our God, sustainer of the universe, you are worthy of glory and praise.
Glory to you for ever and ever.

At your command all things came to be: the vast expanse of interstellar space, galaxies, suns, the planets in their courses, and this fragile earth, our island home; by your will they were created and have their being.
Glory to you for ever and ever.

From the primal elements you brought forth the human race, and blessed us with memory, reason, and skill; you made us the stewards of creation.
Glory to you for ever and ever.

But we turn against you, and betray your trust; and we turn against one another. Again and again you call us to return. Through the prophets and sages you reveal your righteous law. In the fullness of time you sent your Son, born of a woman, to be our Saviour. He was wounded for our transgressions, and bruised for our iniquities. By his death he opened to us the way of freedom and peace.
Glory to you for ever and ever.

Therefore we praise you, joining with the heavenly chorus, with prophets, apostles, and martyrs, and with those in every generation who have looked to you in hope, to proclaim with them your glory, in their unending hymn:
Holy, holy, holy Lord,
God of power and might,
heaven and earth are full of your glory.
Hosanna in the highest.
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
Hosanna in the highest.

Blessed are you, Lord our God, for sending us Jesus, the Christ, who on the night he was handed over to suffering and death, took bread, said the blessing, broke the bread, gave it to his friends, and said, “Take this, and eat it: this is my body which is given for you. Do this for the remembrance of me.”

In the same way, after supper, he took the cup of wine; he gave you thanks, and said, “Drink this, all of you: this is my blood of the new covenant, which is shed for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins. Whenever you drink it, do this for the remembrance of me.”
Glory to you for ever and ever.

Gracious God, we recall the death of your Son Jesus Christ, we proclaim his resurrection and ascension, and we look with expectation for his coming as Lord of all the nations. We who have been redeemed by him, and made a new people by water and the Spirit, now bring you these gifts. Send your Holy Spirit upon us and upon this offering of your Church, that we who eat and drink at this holy table may share the divine life of Christ our Lord.
Glory to you for ever and ever.

Pour out your Spirit upon the whole earth and make it your new creation. Gather your Church together from the ends of the earth into your kingdom, where peace and justice are revealed, that we, with all your people, of every language, race, and nation, may share the banquet you have promised;

through Christ, with Christ, and in Christ, all honour and glory are yours, creator of all.
Glory to you for ever and ever. Amen.

The Lord’s Prayer
As our Saviour taught us, let us pray,
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Save us from the time of trial, and deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours, now and for ever. Amen.

The Breaking of the Bread
We break this bread
to share in the body of Christ.
We, being many, are one body,
for we all share in the one bread.
The gifts of God for the People of God.
Thanks be to God.

The Proclamation of the Word
Reading: Jeremiah 1:4-10
A Reading From The Book Of Jeremiah
Now the word of the Lord came to me saying, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations." Then I said, "Ah, Lord God! Truly I do not know how to speak, for I am only a boy." But the Lord said to me, "Do not say, 'I am only a boy'; for you shall go to all to whom I send you, and you shall speak whatever I command you, Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you, says the Lord." Then the Lord put out his hand and touched my mouth; and the Lord said to me, "Now I have put my words in your mouth. See, today I appoint you over nations and over kingdoms, to pluck up and to pull down, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant."
For the Word of God in scripture, among us and with us.
Thanks be to God.

Psalm 71:1-6
In you, O Lord, have I taken refuge; let me never be ashamed. In your righteousness, deliver me and set me free; incline your ear to me and save me.
From my mother's womb you have been my strength.
Be my strong rock, a castle to keep me safe; you are my crag and my stronghold. Deliver me, my God, from the hand of the wicked, from the clutches of the evildoer and the oppressor.
From my mother's womb you have been my strength.
For you are my hope, O Lord God, my confidence since I was young. I have been sustained by you ever since I was born; from my mother's womb you have been my strength; my praise shall be always of you.
From my mother's womb you have been my strength.

SNC 24 I Have Called You By Your Name

The Gospel: Luke 13:10-17
The Lord be with you.
And also with you.
The Holy Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ according to Luke.
Glory to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
Now he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath. And just then there appeared a woman with a spirit that had crippled her for eighteen years. She was bent over and was quite unable to stand up straight. When Jesus saw her, he called her over and said, "Woman, you are set free from your ailment." When he laid his hands on her, immediately she stood up straight and began praising God. But the leader of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus had cured on the sabbath, kept saying to the crowd, "There are six days on which work ought to be done; come on those days and be cured, and not on the sabbath day." But the Lord answered him and said, "You hypocrites! Does not each of you on the sabbath untie his ox or his donkey from the manger, and lead it away to give it water? And ought not this woman, a daughter of Abraham whom Satan bound for eighteen long years, be set free from this bondage on the sabbath day?" When he said this, all his opponents were put to shame; and the entire crowd was rejoicing at all the wonderful things that he was doing.
The Gospel of Christ.
Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.

The Prayers of the People:
Let us offer our prayers to the source of all love and all life, saying, “hear our prayer.”

Merciful Lord, we pray for all who call themselves Christians: that we may become a royal priesthood, a holy nation, to the praise of Christ Jesus our Saviour. That together we may truly be the Body of Christ in the world. Keep us faithful to our commitment to truth and reconciliation with Indigenous people. God of love,
Hear our prayer.
We pray for all bishops and other ministers: that all of us may remain faithful to our calling and rightly proclaim the word of truth. God of love,
Hear our prayer.
We pray for the leaders of the nations, and all in authority: that all people may lead quiet and peaceable lives. We pray for peace in the world, in our community, in our homes and in our hearts. God of love,
Hear our prayer.
We pray for this city and surrounding communities and those who live here, the poor and the rich, the elderly and the young, men and women: and for those who visit our Island home this summer. God of love,
Hear our prayer.
We pray for the victims of our society and those who minister to them: that you will be their help and defense. Help us to create a community that is truly inclusive and affirming of all people. God of love,
Hear our prayer.
Strengthen all who give their energy or skill for the healing of those who are sick in body or in mind. We pray for all who are sick or in any need, remembering especially those we know who are ill at home or in the hospital,
-
… and others we may name out loud or in our hearts…
-
…that they may know your presence and healing power. God of love,
Hear our prayer.
Set free all who are bound by fear and despair. We pray for all in danger, for those who are far from home, prisoners, exiles, victims of oppression: grant them your salvation. And we pray for all who have died in the peace of Christ and whose faith is known to you alone, especially…
-
And for those who mourn. God of love,
hear our prayer.
Loving and gracious God, you care for all whom you have made and you invite us into your life of abundant kindness: Give us generous and compassionate hearts, that we may live in unity with one another in the Spirit of Jesus Christ our Savior, to whom we give glory, forever and ever. Amen.

The Lord be with you.
And also with you.
Lift up your hearts.
We lift them to the Lord.
Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
It is right to give our thanks and praise.

Blessed are you, gracious God, creator of heaven and earth; we give you thanks and praise through Jesus Christ our Lord, who on this first day of the week overcame death and the grave, and by his glorious resurrection opened to us the way of everlasting life.

In our unending joy we echo on earth the song of the angels in heaven as we raise our voices to proclaim the glory of your name.
Holy, holy, holy Lord,
God of power and might,
heaven and earth are full of your glory.
Hosanna in the highest.
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
Hosanna in the highest.

We give thanks to you, Lord our God, for the goodness and love you have made known to us in creation; in calling Israel to be your people; in your Word spoken through the prophets; and above all in the Word made flesh, Jesus your Son. For in these last days you sent him to be incarnate from the Virgin Mary, to be the Saviour and Redeemer of the world. In him, you have delivered us from evil, and made us worthy to stand before you. In him, you have brought us out of error into truth, out of sin into righteousness, out of death into life.

On the night he was handed over to suffering and death, a death he freely accepted, our Lord Jesus Christ took bread; and when he had given thanks to you, he broke it, and gave it to his disciples, and said, “Take, eat: this is my body which is given for you. Do this for the remembrance of me.”

After supper he took the cup of wine; and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, and said, “Drink this, all of you: this is my blood of the new covenant, which is shed for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins. Whenever you drink it, do this for the remembrance of me.”

Therefore, Father, according to his command,
we remember his death,
we proclaim his resurrection,
we await his coming in glory;

and we offer our sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving to you, Lord of all; presenting to you, from your creation, this bread and this wine.

We pray you, gracious God, to send your Holy Spirit upon these gifts, that they may be the sacrament of the body of Christ and his blood of the new covenant. Unite us to your Son in his sacrifice, that we, made acceptable in him, may be sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

In the fullness of time, reconcile all things in Christ, and make them new, and bring us to that city of light where you dwell with all your children; through Jesus Christ our Lord, the firstborn of all creation, the head of the Church, and the author of our salvation;

by whom, and with whom, and in whom, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, all honour and glory are yours, almighty Father, now and for ever. Amen.

The Lord’s Prayer
As our Saviour taught us, let us pray,
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. The Proclamation of the Word
Reading: Hebrews 11:29-12:2
A Reading From The Letter To The Hebrews
By faith the people passed through the Red Sea as if it were dry land, but when the Egyptians attempted to do so they were drowned. By faith the walls of Jericho fell after they had been encircled for seven days. By faith Rahab the prostitute did not perish with those who were disobedient, because she had received the spies in peace. And what more should I say? For time would fail me to tell of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, of David and Samuel and the prophets - who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, obtained promises, shut the mouths of lions, quenched raging fire, escaped the edge of the sword, won strength out of weakness, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight. Women received their dead by resurrection. Others were tortured, refusing to accept release, in order to obtain a better resurrection. Others suffered mocking and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment. They were stoned to death, they were sawn in two, they were killed by the sword; they went about in skins of sheep and goats, destitute, persecuted, tormented - of whom the world was not worthy. They wandered in deserts and mountains, and in caves and holes in the ground. Yet all these, though they were commended for their faith, did not receive what was promised, since God had provided something better so that they would not, apart from us, be made perfect. Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight and the sin that clings so closely, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, who for the sake of the joy that was set before him endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God.
For the Word of God in scripture, among us and with us.
Thanks be to God.

Psalm 80:1-2, 8-18
Hear, O Shepherd of Israel, leading Joseph like a flock; shine forth, you that are enthroned upon the cherubim. In the presence of Ephraim, Benjamin, and Manasseh, stir up your strength and come to help us.
Behold and tend this vine; preserve what your right hand has planted.
You have brought a vine out of Egypt; you cast out the nations and planted it. You prepared the ground for it; it took root and filled the land. The mountains were covered by its shadow and the towering cedar trees by its boughs.
Behold and tend this vine; preserve what your right hand has planted.
You stretched out its tendrils to the Sea and its branches to the River. Why have you broken down its wall, so that all who pass by pluck off its grapes? The wild boar of the forest has ravaged it, and the beasts of the field have grazed upon it.
Behold and tend this vine; preserve what your right hand has planted.
Turn now, O God of hosts, look down from heaven; behold and tend this vine; preserve what your right hand has planted. They burn it with fire like rubbish; at the rebuke of your countenance let them perish.
Behold and tend this vine; preserve what your right hand has planted.
Let your hand be upon the man of your right hand, the son of man you have made so strong for yourself. And so will we never turn away from you; give us life, that we may call upon your Name. Restore us, O Lord God of hosts; show the light of your countenance, and we shall be saved.
Behold and tend this vine; preserve what your right hand has planted.

The Gospel: Luke 12:49-56
The Lord be with you.
And also with you.
The Holy Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ
according to Luke.
Glory to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus said, "I came to bring fire to the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled! I have a baptism with which to be baptized, and what stress I am under until it is completed! Do you think that I have come to bring peace to the earth? No, I tell you, but rather division! From now on five in one household will be divided, three against two and two against three; they will be divided: father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in law." He also said to the crowds, "When you see a cloud rising in the west, you immediately say, 'It is going to rain'; and so it happens. And when you see the south wind blowing, you say, 'There will be scorching heat'; and it happens. You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of earth and sky, but why do you not know how to interpret the present time?"
The Gospel of Christ.
Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.

The Prayers of the People:
Let us join in prayer with God’s faithful people throughout the world, saying “hear our prayer.”

We pray for the unity of the church, that even amid disharmony and division our life may reflect the love you have shown us. God of love:
Hear our prayer.
We ask your grace for bishops, priest, deacons and all the faithful (for all who minister in word and action), that we may bear faithful witness to your good news, yielding a crop of justice and right-relationship. God of love:
Hear our prayer.
We seek your peace and mercy in all the world, we pray especially for those places that are damaged by war and famine, we pray that those in need are not forgotten and will live with dignity. God of love:
Hear our prayer.
We pray for this city of Charlottetown and for every community on this Island: for those who live here in faith. We give thanks for those who visit our Island home this summer and pray that their stay is safe and fun. God of love,
Hear our prayer.
We ask your blessing on our homes, our friends and family, and on those who live alone, that we may know of your presence in our lives. We pray for the victims of our society and those who endeavor to help them: and that we may remain true to our commitment to Truth and Reconciliation with Indigenous People. God of love:
Hear our prayer.
We name before you all whom you have given us to pray for, especially those we know who are ill at home or in the hospital:
-
And those we may name out loud, or in our hearts:
-
knowing that you are doing for them better things than we can ask or imagine. God of love:
Hear our prayer.
We commend to you all who have died in your peace, especially:
-
that our trust in you may deepen as you keep them safe in your care and we pray for all who mourn. God of love:
Hear our prayer.
We offer our thanks and praise for all you have done for us, for this fertile land and bountiful sea, for trusting us with safeguarding the integrity of your creation, and helping to respect, sustain and renew the life of the Earth. God of love:
Hear our prayer.
We look for your purposes to be accomplished and ask you to fill us with the strength to be the transforming community of love and justice that you call us to be. God of love:
Hear our prayer.
God of all the nations, help us to know how to interpret the present time, and surround us with so great a cloud of witnesses that we may have faith to live by your word, and the courage to persevere in this time. This we pray in Christs’ name. Amen.

Confession and Absolution

The Great Thanksgiving – Eucharistic Prayer 1
The Lord be with you.
And also with you.
Lift up your hearts.
We lift them to the Lord.
Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
It is right to give our thanks and praise.

It is indeed right that we should praise you, gracious God, for you created all things. You formed us in your own image: as your children you created us. When we turned away from you in sin, you did not cease to care for us, but opened a path of salvation for all people. You made a covenant with Israel, and through your servants Abraham and Sarah gave the promise of a blessing to all nations. Through Moses you led your people from bondage into freedom; through the prophets you renewed your promise of salvation.

Therefore, with them, and with all your saints who have served you in every age, we give thanks and raise our voices to proclaim the glory of your name.
Holy, holy, holy Lord,
God of power and might,
heaven and earth are full of your glory.
Hosanna in the highest.
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
Hosanna in the highest.

Holy God, source of life and goodness, all creation rightly gives you praise. In the fullness of time, you sent your Son Jesus Christ, to share our human nature, to live and die as one of us, to reconcile us to you, the God and Father of all. He healed the sick and ate and drank with outcasts and sinners; he opened the eyes of the blind and proclaimed the good news of your kingdom to the poor and to those in need. In all things he fulfilled your gracious will.

On the night he freely gave himself to death, our Lord Jesus Christ took bread, and when he had given thanks to you, he broke it, and gave it to his disciples, and said, “Take, eat: this is my body which is given for you.

Gracious God, his perfect sacrifice destroys the power of sin and death; by raising him to life you give us life for evermore.

Therefore we proclaim the mystery of faith.
Christ has died.
Christ is risen.
Christ will come again.

Recalling his death, proclaiming his resurrection, and looking for his coming again in glory, we offer you, Father, this bread and this cup.

Send your spirit to flow over the gifts of the bread and the cup and to bring light and goodness to those who gather around your table. As we break the bread of life, may we become living hope in a world where many are mired in despair. As we drink from the cup of grace, may we cradle your kindness and peace in our hearts and souls so we might be poured out to those who thirst for your peace and gentleness.

Through Christ, with Christ, and in Christ, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, all glory is yours, almighty Father, now and for ever.

Lamb of God
Lamb of God you take away the sin of the world
               have mercy on us.

               have mercy on us.
Lamb of God you take away the sin of the world
               grant us your peace.
