Alleluia! Christ is risen.
The Lord is risen indeed. Alleluia!
Praise the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
He gave us new life and hope
by raising Jesus from the dead.
Rejoice, then, even in your distress.
We shall be counted worthy when Christ appears.
God has claimed us as his own.
He called us from our darkness into the light of his day.

An Affirmation of Faith
Let us declare our faith in God.
We believe in God the Father,
from whom every family
in heaven and on earth is named.
We believe in God the Son,
who lives in our hearts through faith,
and fills us with his love.
We believe in God the Holy Spirit,
who strengthens us
with power from on high.
We believe in one God;
Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen. cf Ephesians 3
 
The Prayers of the Community
In this Easter season, let us rejoice and be glad as we pray to the God who raised Jesus from the dead, saying: Alleluia! Hear our prayer.
 
For the Church, especially for Linda our Primate and Sandra our bishop, that we may be signs of Christ’s light for all who have lived in darkness, of hope for all who know pain and suffering, and of love for all who have been rejected.
Alleluia! Hear our prayer.
 
For this parish of St. Paul’s, even though separated by social-distancing, that we may be strong in faith, confident in hope, and abounding with love for God and neighbour.
Alleluia! Hear our prayer.
 
For all the human family, that you will keep safe all who are still vulnerable to the disease, restore to health those who are ill, and give strength and energy to those who serve and treat them.
Alleluia! Hear our prayer.
 
For all those in positions of public trust and leadership, those who protect and serve our communities, and all those administering the vaccine, that you will strengthen them with wisdom and patience.
Alleluia! Hear our prayer.
 
For all who are confined to their homes, and for those who cannot be with family and loved ones, that as they hear the Good News of the Resurrection, they may be bound together in love.
Alleluia! Hear our prayer.
 
For all who those we know who are ill at home or in the hospital, especially;

… and for others we may name out loud or in our hearts…

that they may know your healing power.

For all those who have died, especially,

Lifting our voices with all creation, with all who have borne witness to the Risen Christ, we offer ourselves and one another to the living God through Christ.

we give praise and glory.
 
Blessed are you, O Holy God, who destroyed death and brought life and immortality to light, hear the prayers we offer in the hope of eternal glory, and grant that we who have received new life in baptism may live forever in the joy of the resurrection. Glory to you, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, now and always and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

The Lord be with you.

It is right to give our thanks and praise.
We give you thanks and praise, almighty God, through your beloved Son, Jesus Christ, our Saviour and Redeemer. He is your living Word, through whom you have created all things.
 
By the power of the Holy Spirit he took flesh of the Virgin Mary and shared our human nature. He lived and died as one of us, to reconcile us to you, the God and Father of all.
 
In fulfilment of your will he stretched out his hands in suffering, to bring release to those who place their hope in you; and so he won for you a holy people.
 
He chose to bear our griefs and sorrows, and to give up his life on the cross, that he might shatter the chains of evil and death, and banish the darkness of sin and despair. By his resurrection he brings us into the light of your presence.
 
Now with all creation we raise our voices to proclaim the glory of your name.

God of power and might,
heaven and earth are full of your glory.

Holy and gracious God, accept our praise, through your Son our Saviour Jesus Christ; who on the night he was handed over to suffering and death, took bread and gave you thanks, saying, “Take, and eat: this is my body which is broken for you.” In the same way he took the cup, saying, “This is my blood which is shed for you. When you do this, you do it in memory of me.”
 
Remembering, therefore, his death and resurrection, we offer you this bread and this cup, giving thanks that you have made us worthy to stand in your presence and serve you.
 
We ask you to send your Holy Spirit upon the offering of your holy Church. Gather into one all who share in these sacred mysteries, filling them with the Holy Spirit and confirming their faith in the truth, that together we may praise you and give you glory through your Servant, Jesus Christ.
 
All glory and honour are yours, Father and Son, with the Holy Spirit in the holy Church, now and for ever. Amen.
 
The Lord’s Prayer
As our Saviour taught us, let us pray,
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.
