The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,
and the love of God,
and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit,
be with you all.
And also with you.
Almighty God,
to you all hearts are open, all desires known, and from you no secrets are hidden. Cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of your Holy Spirit, that we may perfectly love you, and worthily magnify your holy name; through Christ our Lord. Amen.

The Collect of the Day
Let us pray.
Almighty God, your Son Jesus Christ has taught us that what we do for the least of your children we do also for him. Give us the will to serve others as he was the servant of all, who gave up his life and died for us, but lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
The Proclamation of the Word
Reading: 2 Kings 5:1-14
A
Reading From The Second Book Of Kings
Naaman, commander of the army of the king of Aram, was a great man and in high favour with his master, because by him the Lord had given victory to Aram. The man, though a mighty warrior, suffered from leprosy. Now the Arameans on one of their raids had taken a young girl captive from the land of Israel, and she served Naaman's wife. She said to her mistress, "If only my lord were with the prophet who is in Samaria! He would cure him of his leprosy." So Naaman went in and told his lord just what the girl from the land of Israel had said. And the king of Aram said, "Go then, and I will send along a letter to the king of Israel." He went, taking with him ten talents of silver, six thousand shekels of gold, and ten sets of garments. He brought the letter to the king of Israel, which read, "When this letter reaches you, know that I have sent to you my servant Naaman, that you may cure him of his leprosy." When the king of Israel read the letter, he tore his clothes and said, "Am I God, to give death or life, that this man sends word to me to cure a man of his leprosy? Just look and see how he is trying to pick a quarrel with me." But when Elisha the man of God heard that the king of Israel had torn his clothes, he sent a message to the king, "Why have you torn your clothes? Let him come to me, that he may learn that there is a prophet in Israel." So Naaman came with his horses and chariots, and halted at the entrance of Elisha's house. Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, "Go, wash in the Jordan seven times, and your flesh shall be restored and you shall be clean." But Naaman became angry and went away, saying, "I thought that for me he would surely come out, and stand and call on the name of the Lord his God, and would wave his hand over the spot, and cure the leprosy! Are not Abana and Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Could I not wash in them, and be clean?" He turned and went away in a rage. But his servants approached and said to him, "Father, if the prophet had commanded you to do something difficult, would you not have done it? How much more, when all he said to you was, 'Wash, and be clean'?" So he went down and immersed himself seven times in the Jordan, according to the word of the man of God; his flesh was restored like the flesh of a young boy, and he was clean.

Thanks be to God.

Surely It Is God Who Saves Me
The Gospel:
Luke 10:1-11, 16-20
The Lord be with you.
And also with you.
The Holy Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ
according to Luke.
Glory to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them on ahead of him in pairs to every town and place where he himself intended to go. He said to them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore ask the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest. Go on your way; I am sending you out like lambs into the midst of wolves. Carry no purse, no bag, no sandals, and greet no one on the road. Whatever house you enter, first say, 'Peace to this house!' And if a person of peace is there, your peace will rest on that person, but if not, it will return to you. Remain in the same house, eating and drinking whatever they provide, for the laborer deserves to be paid. Do not move about from house to house. Whenever you enter a town and its people welcome you, eat what is set before you; cure the sick who are there, and say to them, 'The kingdom of God has come near to you.' But whenever you enter a town and they do not welcome you, go out into its streets and say,'Even the dust of your town that clings to our feet, we wipe off in protest against you. Yet know this: the kingdom of God has come near.' "Whoever listens to you listens to me, and whoever rejects you rejects me, and whoever rejects me rejects the one who sent me." The seventy-two returned with joy, saying, "Lord, in your name even the demons submit to us!" He said to them, "I watched Satan fall from heaven like a flash of lightning. Indeed, I have given you authority to tread on snakes and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will hurt you. Nevertheless, do not rejoice at this, that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven."
The Gospel of Christ.
Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.

Creator God, in bright light and dull darkness, in the energy of each day and the rest that comes with night, in the heavens high above our heads, in waters that run deep around the world,
we remember your goodness.
In solid land and flowing seas, in vivid flowers and fruit laden-trees, in the rising and setting of the sun, and the cycles of the seasons, in the patterns of the shining stars,

In oceans teeming with fish, in skies filled with birds, in a world filled with animal life, and in ourselves as human beings,

And you looked and saw all that you had made, and indeed it was very, very good.
In rest and reflection, in wonder and worship, we remember the goodness of God. Amen

The Great Thanksgiving - Eucharistic
Prayer 4
The Lord be with you.
And also with you.
Lift up your hearts.
We lift them to the Lord.
Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
It is right to give our thanks and praise.
It is right to give you thanks and praise, O
Lord, our God, sustainer of the universe, you are worthy of glory and praise.
Glory to you for ever and ever.
At your command all things came to be: the
vast expanse of interstellar space, galaxies, suns, the planets in their
courses, and this fragile earth, our island home; by your will they were
created and have their being.
Glory to you for ever and ever.
From the primal elements you brought forth the
human race, and blessed us with memory, reason, and skill; you made us the
stewards of creation.
Glory to you for ever and ever.
But we turn against you, and betray your
trust; and we turn against one another. Again and again you call us to return.
Through the prophets and sages you reveal your righteous law. In the fullness
of time you sent your Son, born of a woman, to be our Saviour. He was wounded
for our transgressions, and bruised for our iniquities. By his death he opened
to us the way of freedom and peace.
Glory to you for ever and ever.
Therefore we praise you, joining with the
heavenly chorus, with prophets, apostles, and martyrs, and with those in every
generation who have looked to you in hope, to proclaim with them your glory, in
their unending hymn:
Holy, holy, holy Lord,
God of power and might,
heaven and earth are full of your glory.
Hosanna in the highest.
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
Hosanna in the highest.
Blessed are you, Lord our God, for sending us
Jesus, the Christ, who on the night he was handed over to suffering and death,
took bread, said the blessing, broke the bread, gave it to his friends, and
said, “Take this, and eat it: this is my body which is given for you. Do this
for the remembrance of me.”
In the same way, after supper, he took the cup
of wine; he gave you thanks, and said, “Drink this, all of you: this is my
blood of the new covenant, which is shed for you and for many for the
forgiveness of sins. Whenever you drink it, do this for the remembrance of me.”
Glory to you for ever and ever.
Gracious God, we recall the death of your Son
Jesus Christ, we proclaim his resurrection and ascension, and we look with
expectation for his coming as Lord of all the nations. We who have been
redeemed by him, and made a new people by water and the Spirit, now bring you
these gifts. Send your Holy Spirit upon us and upon this offering of your
Church, that we who eat and drink at this holy table may share the divine life
of Christ our Lord.
Glory to you for ever and ever.
Pour out your Spirit upon the whole earth and
make it your new creation. Gather your Church together from the ends of the
earth into your kingdom, where peace and justice are revealed, that we, with
all your people, of every language, race, and nation, may share the banquet you
have promised;
through Christ, with Christ, and in Christ,
all honour and glory are yours, creator of all.
Glory to you for ever and ever. Amen.
The Lord’s Prayer
As our Saviour taught us, let us pray,
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Save us from the time of trial, and deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours, now and for ever. Amen.
The Breaking of the Bread
We break this bread
to share in the body of Christ.
We, being many, are one body,
for we all share in the one bread.
The gifts of God for the People of God.
Thanks be to God.
Lamb of God
Lamb of God you take away the sin of the world
have mercy on us.
Lamb of God you take away the sin of the world
have mercy on us.
Lamb of God you take away the sin of the world
grant us your peace.
